In the Finance Information Strategy team we envision the target landscape for finance and risk to support different international business units and the central group organization. With that dot on the horizon in mind, we define feasible steps to make finance and risk, faster, cheaper and better. You provide the essential structure in this complex landscape to orchestrate the change.

This demanding position in an international setting, in which you work on strategy and the business architecture of NN Group, offers you a maximum salary of € 6,000 per month.

Your impact as a Junior Business Architect at NN

With so many business units, a sound financial applications overview is necessary in order to operate in a future-oriented manner. Thanks to your experience in finance and architectural patterns you know how to shape a data driven solution. You’ll create an efficient automated financial and risk service framework, where all the finance and risk aspects of the organisation can be clearly mapped out. Due to your cartography and stakeholder management skills, the framework matches the needs of the business so perfectly that it becomes an essential tool within the NN Group. Used for drawing up reports and taking strategic decisions.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop client-friendly instruments that offer (virtual) insight into and an overview of the financial situation, risks and future possibilities of our business units.
  • Defining, optimizing and keeping an overview of the architecture framework. You own the process and help people stick to it.
  • Visualize and translate the architecture to create a comprehensive guide for development.
  • Monitoring market developments and offering sufficient guidelines, parameters and frameworks, to ensure that our business can grow and is ready for the future.
  • Guiding business units in implementing your strategy. You do not only develop the process but also align your view with the stakeholders and comprehend their requirements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the Finance & Risk Architecture board where all designs are discussed and ratified
  • Who you are

    Your helicopter view enables you to clearly see similarities between different business units and developments. As a result, you are quick to introduce order and structure within complex material. Finally, you have an agile, process-oriented approach to your work and you are capable of expressing the most complex matters in an understandable manner in writing.

  • Like to create but also implement business processes. Structure is your middle name.
  • Responsible and disciplined to really get the job done.
  • A university degree with approximately 4 years' experience in establishing automation solutions, preferably with an insurer or in the financial sector.
  • Knowledge or interest in finance and risk.
  • Extensive knowledge in architecture modelling and design patterns.

    The Finance Information Strategy team comprises five highly dedicated professionals. Your manager is a true information strategist. In addition, you will have a Data Architect and two Data Governance-Specialists as colleagues. You are the all-rounder, the process guy/girl, the one who is involved in both strategy, business architecture and technical aspects. Everyone is an expert in their field and has a high degree of independence. However, it goes without saying that the team works in close collaboration: you meet at least twice a week to exchange information, discuss developments and set new goals. Given the broad and complex playing field you work in, that is certainly no unnecessary luxury! But if you have something to discuss that can’t wait, you can contact your manager or colleagues immediately, on site or via Teams. We are a small team, but our span of control is very big. So our impact to the business is enormous.

    The office in The Hague is located next to the A12, but is also easily accessible by public transport as well. To stay fit, you can also join weekly, 20-minute, intensive personal training sessions in our Fit20 studio. We make a contribution towards the cost. If you prefer the fresh air, you can take the tram or bike and you will be at the beach in half an hour.
