Is this you?Become one of our 20 International Trainees at Vattenfall. Each of the trainee positions is unique, linked to a department within a specific business area and a working location. This means that each position has its own specific responsibilities, challenges and matching profile.Next to your personal development in this unique position you will be enjoying one year of all we have to offer. Your trainee year will be filled with meet-ups with your international trainee team with likeminded individuals. You will be meeting up virtually to work on assignments and live during four seminar weeks where you will be visiting our power plants and growing your superpowers with a variety of trainings. Your role as a Trainee – Strategy & Business Development As a Trainee – Strategy & Business Development you are responsible for translating information into commercial and financial analyses, interpret these and make use of data reporting tools so that it is easy for stakeholders to grasp the outputs.With your clear, visible and courageous leadership capabilities and intelligence you are able to connect and deliver high qualified proposals of improvements for the department and our processes. If required, you will steer the implementation project concerning those improvements. Your daily activities: 

Market analysis and developing winning strategies

Driving improvements in our processes, which brings this department to a higher level

Product/solution definition, focussing on practical feasibility and scalability

Development of business case and business plan

Participation in our daily activities when needed

As a Trainee – Strategy & Business Development you recognize yourself in the following: 

Academic degree preferably in Industrial Engineering, Energy Engineering, Business Economics

Knowledge of and interest in data-reporting tools to be able to present your findings with the right visualizations

Experience with data analysis, being able to use statistical techniques to build models

Result driven with ability to make priorities to reach deadlines

Independent working style with ability to create structure and deliverables within a given framework

Opportunity finder, problem solver and analytical thinker

Hands-on mentality

You are our ideal trainee if you are a recent graduate with an academic degree or you graduate before September 2021. You are fluent in Dutch and English. Skills in other world languages can be a merit. You are willing to relocate for possible assignments throughout the organization. And of course, you identify yourself with our principles: active, open, positive and safe.
