Your input will be crucial in building the market-leading online platform to bring sustainability to the financial sector. About you

Ideally, you are currently enrolled or just finished a master in law, sustainability, finance or related.

You are a smart diligent problem solver with an entrepreneurial mindset. You know how to adapt to unexpected challenges. Perseverance, tenacity and courage are part of your personality traits. Integrity, transparency and honesty are core values as we are building a business to make a positive impact on the world. The journey is as important as the destination. You enjoy working in small agile teams.

At 414, the first step to achieve our mission is to build a B2B SaaS platform for consultants and law firms to work with the EU Taxonomy and SFDR regulation. You could call us LegalTech or RegTech if you'r into buzzwords. These two regulations are mandatory for all financial markets participants in the EU and will therefore have a massive impact on the way the sustainable finance sector works. As a working student, you will be responsible for translating these regulations into decision trees.

This means:

1. Being able to understand EU Sustainable Finance Regulation including SFDR and EU Taxonomy.
2. Turn this regulation into a decision tree model
3. Depending on your aspiration: Help build the first version of our product

Joining a tech startup boils down to tenacity, diligence and a mindset of getting things done. As an early employee in the team, you will need to possess an entrepreneurial mindset and lots of energy.

You should be able to join our team within the next few weeks. In this initial phase we believe working in-person makes most sense but we are exploring options for remote work in the future.

Most importantly, you should have a calling to work on the biggest market failure of our time: Avoiding a climate disaster.

Currently, we are building the first production version of our product. We believe that the only way to make an impact at scale is to think big. Therefore, we have the ambition to grow rapidly over the next few years and become THE key sustainability platform for the financial industry.

Our team features a rich variety of backgrounds, including working at international think tanks, climate science, leading digital teams in the financial industry, founding a major financial data company, venture capital and building and scaling impact startups.

Offer

Besides an amazing adventure and steep learning curve, we offer you a salary of 20-30€ per hour depending on your experience and value add. We are outcomes-oriented meaning that we give you the freedom to structure the way you work as you like, as long as we deliver as a team.

We can definitely use some extra bandwidth and grow our team. Therefore the position can be extended afterwards.

We currently call the Social Impact Factory Utrecht our home. This co-working place is minutes from the railway station and easily accessible from Amsterdam. In the future, we will grow in the Amsterdam / Utrecht area.
