Business Development Assistant

Solar Provider Group is one of the world's leading, fully integrated solar PV companies. We specialize in the development, financing, engineering, construction as well as the operation and maintenance of commercial and utility-scale solar installations. We are currently looking for a Business Development Assistant , located in the Netherlands, who would report directly to our European Business Development Manager. We are looking for talented, versatile and committed people who want to support the development of solar energy and a future powered on renewable energy.

  • Type of Employment: 3-Month Contract with a Possibility for an extension - 36 hours per week

ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are by no Means limited to the following:
  • Translation (Dutch-English or vice versa) or (amongst others) government regulatory documents, legal documents, SPG website pages and marketing collateral, news reports
  • Support Business Development Manager and SPG business development efforts Throughout the sales cycle
  • Support business expansion in the Netherlands and futures markets as applicable
  • Generate leads for land leases in support of developing a pipeline of utility-scale ground mount solar projects
  • Qualify leads based on preliminary property assessments using Google Earth, planning resources, etc.
  • Scope to meet with land owners and negotiate / sign land lease option agreements
  • Manage and report sales activity daily, weekly and monthly summarize
  • Phone and email outreach to leads for qualification and follow up
  • Research and identify potential new solar markets and keep updated on policy shifts in active markets
  • Manage and update Salesforce records for opportunities, accounts and contacts

  • Develop and manage progress reports in Salesforce.com
Requirements
While no prior knowledge of the solar industry is Necessary, the following qualifications / competencies are required / Desirable:
  • Bachelor's degree in progress or attained in last 3 years (Business, Legal or Environmental background Desirable).
  • Prior business development / sales experience Desirable
  • Prior experience handling / negotiating legal contracts Desirable
  • Fluency in Dutch and English essential
  • Flawless communication skills both oral and written
  • Entrepreneurial SPIRIT highly motivated by success and hitting targets
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work remotely and travel occasionally Whilst Ensuring deadlines are measured
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a
    global team, remaining organized / managing own workload
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently
  • Creative thinker who takes initiative and has a positive attitude, as well as strong and resilient work ethic
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to diligently proof read and translate complex legal documents
  • Strong MS Office skills - Mainly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and Google Earth / GIS Desirable
  • Fluency in any third language an asset
  • Valid passport essential, drivers license and access to a vehicle Desirable
