Finance & Internal Control Trainee in Amsterdam Duivendecht

At Schweppes International Limited we are looking for an Intern from September to February to assist our Governance & Internal Control Manager in documentation, administrative work, review on Internal Controls and Governance, J Sox Management testing and Internal Audits.

Wat ga je doen?

Main Activities:

  • J-Sox Management testing – preparing samples, scanning and documentation of testing;
  • Internal Controls – Credit notes Review and follow up with Customer operations team, Follow-up of the documentation of basic Internal Controls for our sister companies SBF- SA, Nigeria and Kenya, Maintenance of the documentation received from different process owners within Schweppes International Limited;
  • Assisting in Internal Audit and J Sox External Audit (by collecting samples, following up with Process owners etc);
  • Ensuring Journals are approved with backup and archived (responsibility shared with Accounting team);
  • Review of the Documentation for Payment runs, manual payments (responsibility shared with Accounts Payable team);
  • Vendor Invoices are scanned and archives (responsibility shared with Accounts Payable team).

    • Requirements and competencies:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree degree Student
  • Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage deadlines
  • Proficiency with MS Office - particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Pro-active approach, especially in dealing with other departments
  • Ability to work independently and have a strong sense of responsibility in resolving outstanding issues in a timely manner
  • Analytical thinking, problem solving skills and ability to 'think out of the box'
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
  • Effective verbal and listening communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment being both flexible and adaptable
  • Must be able to legally work in the Netherlands
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Good command of English and Dutch
