Job purpose
Develop leading premium sports performance apparel collections for ASICS, with focus on the Running category. You will be reporting to the Apparel Development Manager.

What you will do:

  • Deliver consistent, innovative, premium sports performance Apparel
  • Creation of product technical specifications following design handover
  • Determining pre-costing following initial design sketches
  • Working closely with Product Marketing, Design and Sourcing to advise on cost-effective solutions to contribute towards the targeted net margin
  • Review cost sheets against technical specifications
  • Create and develop relevant fit specifications
  • Conducts fitting sessions
  • Obsess craftsmanship and construction
  • Pro-actively research new fabric, trim, technology developments
  • Contribute towards fabric and trim selections
  • Prepare wearer test fabrics and wearer trials where applicable
  • Lab dip approvals
  • Sample reviews; from proto through to pre-production
  • Specification updates
  • Ensure development process is followed for on time ex-factory dates
  • Assist in any quality complaints to analyze the cause of complaint and propose suitable solutions
  • Supplier on-site visits
  • Trade fair visits

    • Job requirements:
    Knowledge and experience;

  • Bachelor degree (e.g. Fashion Manufacture and Marketing)
  • 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Affinity with (sports) fashion/sports industry
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Administrative knowledge and experience including strong Excel knowledge
  • Experience with supportive Apparel systems
  • Illustrator knowledge would be beneficial
