We are a multilingual expat family (dad is German, mom is Russian/French). We live in Amsterdam Zuid. Our son Nicolas (almost 5) is a lively, clever, strong-willed and sensitive child. He goes to a Dutch school. He loves Lego, reading, and moving. We are looking for a regular babysitter for a total of about 30 hours per month. We plan in advance, but flexibility is important sometimes it's about covering a day or two off school because of sickness. A Montessori or similar pedagogical background would be a big plus. We speak English at home, so it's important that you could speak English at least with the parents. Better yet if you are a native English- or German-speaker. But Dutch is also fine because Nick speaks Dutch at school. We are not interested in any additional services (cooking, cleaning, etc.), your sole focus would be spending time with Nick, so it's important that it should be enjoyable for both you and him.
